Parks and Recreations
Orange and Chatham Counties and the surrounding area boast several wonderful natural resources. Jordan Lake to the south is a large state park with multiple access points for boating, fishing and camping.
The Eno River State Park to the north encompasses the beautiful Eno River with hiking trails and access for canoes and rafts.
The local water municipality, OWASA operates two water features: Cane Creek Reservoir and University Lake. Both facilities offer boating and camping.
The Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area is a quick escape to three miles of trails with picnic sites minutes from downtown Hillsborough.
